This 5-week ECG and EKG Technician program in Park Ridge, IL, focuses on diagnostic tests related to the heart, recording the heart’s electrical impulses onto a paper strip. The pattern of the signals can tell the physician whether the heart is normal, is experiencing electrical problems, is under strain, or is damaged. The ECG Technician will administer and document various types of ECG monitoring and will provide appropriate care for the equipment.
Specific Admission Requirements:
- High School diploma or its equivalent (GED)
- A reading comprehension of 10th grade level is required.
- A valid Social Security Number

The ECG Technician works in physicians’ offices, clinics, hospitals, and diagnostic centers.
Certification:
